Becca Longhenry, General Director

Violinist, violist, and teacher Becca Longhenry moved to Richmond, VA after earning a master's degree in violin performance from James Madison University, where she studied with Amadi Azikiwe. Prior to relocating to Richmond in 2016, Becca taught music lessons and performed with ensembles in South Dakota, Nebraska, Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, and Virginia. In 2010, she received her bachelor's degree in violin performance from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, where she studied with David Neely. Also at UNL, she studied chamber music with the Juilliard-trained Chiara String Quartet, known for their pioneering efforts to engage modern audiences by performing in more accessible venues, such as restaurants and bars. Inspired by their example, Becca now serves as General Director for Classical Revolution RVA. In addition to her duties for CRRVA, Becca teaches violin, viola, and piano lessons, coaches chamber ensembles, and is assistant concertmaster for the Richmond Philharmonic Orchestra.
