March Mindfulness

  • 1708 Gallery 319 West Broad Street Richmond, VA, 23220 United States (map)

Wednesdays in March, 12-12:30pm

Free and open to the public

March Mindfulness combines the beauty of classical music with a heightened sense of awareness to create an oasis of time and space in the midst of the busy workweek. A break from the madness, it's an opportunity to bring your full attention to the present moment. Classical Revolution RVA, The Chrysalis Institute, and 1708 Gallery have joined forces to provide this unique experience for the Richmond community. The series is free and open to the public.

Every Wednesday in March, a different solo instrumentalist will perform contemplative works by J.S. Bach, preceded by an introduction to mindfulness led by a Chrysalis Institute instructor. No prior experience with meditation or classical music is necessary to enjoy and benefit from this series.

Performers:

March 1 - Schuyler Slack, cello
March 8 - Brandon Simmons, flute
March 15 - Ayca Kartari, double bass
March 22 - Ellen Cockerham Riccio, violin
March 29 - Kimberly Ryan, viola
