New live streaming format!

With the recent outbreak of COVID-19 and the nationwide response of social distancing, Classical Revolution RVA will be rolling out new live streaming formats, in full compliance with safety guidelines, to provide paid opportunities to musicians who are struggling during this crisis.

We are proud to announce the first of these new formats:

RUMPUT PAIRS - Music for Travelers November 15, 2019

The pairs series connects musical traditions from different genres. Amidst the stone and mortar of Blue Bee Cider, Classical Rev premiered three new compositions inspired by Renaissance Portugal, followed by a beautiful and immersive set by Richmond’s own Keroncong band, Rumput!

Keroncong is string music from Indonesia, a living tradition that began with the arrival of classical instruments and harmony in the 16th century.

B-day BASH

Conductor Will Pattie and Ops Manager Becca Longhenry gathered a 30 piece orchestra to perform Holst’s “St. Paul Suite” and the second movement from Beethoven 7.

The Richmond community’s commitment to the arts is plain to see - we are so grateful to all of you for your support! We raised over $2000 to support Classical Revolution’s activities in 2020. Thank you!
